Payroll – Australia and New Zealand
Superannuation minimum threshold
The Superannuation minimum threshold has been changed from $450 to a configurable amount. Generally, the Superannuation Guarantee for Australian employees is paid after the employee has earned more than $450 in one month – and this minimum amount of $450 had been hardcoded into Dayforce. However, for the Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA) and Restaurant Industry Award (RIA) it is paid once $350 is earned in one month.

MAU - Enhance Auto Generated Elections Offcycle Type
The auto generate off cycle option will now handle terminated employees correctly so that user does not get error message when calculating the pay run.
MAU - Payment of CSG on EOY Bonus Engine changes
With recent compliance change, Dayforce is now doing separate calculation for CSG on End of Year Bonus. As such CSG is now reported in two separate columns in the monthly tax filing. First column will be the existing CSG amount calculated on basic salary and second column will be CSG calculated on End of Year Bonus.
MAU - Calculate CSG on EOY Bonus on Basic Salary component only
With recent compliance change, Dayforce is now doing separate calculation for CSG on End of Year Bonus. As such we need to ensure that the CSG on EOY Bonus is being calculated on the Basic Salary component only (excluding Overtime and Other Allowances). This logic has been implemented in Dayforce to have two separate system earnings codes namely EOY Bonus Basic and EOY Bonus Non Basic.
MAU - Implement YTD logic for CSG calculation on EOY bonus
When an employee receives EOY Bonus two times in a year from same employer then calculation of the EOY Bonus should be cumulated. Thus, a YTD logic has been implemented in Dayforce to determine the correct chargeable percentage for the CSF calculation on EOY Bonus.
MAU - Portable Gratuity Fund (PRGF)
With the PRGF becoming compulsory as from January 2022, the payroll calculation for PRGF, an exemption grid to exempt employees for PRGF under Tax Definitions screen and the PRGF Tax Filing (Monthly Return) are ready in Dayforce' s 61.3 version.
