SourceTaxOnline migration to CeridianTax.com

This is a friendly reminder that last month all SourceTaxOnline accounts were deactivated and migrated to ceridiantax.com. Your STO account remained open through February to allow you to familiarize yourself with the new ceridiantax.com system and compare between the two. All STO functionality is now available in ceridiantax.com.

Steps to take if you have not yet registered:
If you have not taken the opportunity to register on ceridiantax.com, please do so at your earliest convenience. An email was sent to you from [email protected] providing you with your new username and a registration link when your account was activated. If you do not have this email, please contact your internal IAM / ceridiantax.com Administrator or via a support ticket to Tax Services > Help Desk > Tax Portal.

IAM is the Ceridian application that manages user authentication (logging in) for ceridiantax.com and other Ceridian applications. IAM user documentation is available here: MyCeridian.com.


U.S. Tax Form corrections

PPACA 1095-C Corrections Timeline – Reference page 22 in the Q2 QE Packet.

Note: The IRS only accepts corrections after they processed the original filing submissions. Dayforce ACA correction functionality becomes available mid-April to help ensure ACA Compliance.

Please check the Support Portal for any tickets opened for you with "Action required - Your ACA 2020 Filing was accepted by the IRS with Errors". These tickets have now been posted for customers who fall in the Accepted with Errors Category.


Dayforce Education update

For our Live Members, there are important Dayforce Training updates that will be reflected on the Dayforce Live Learning tracks as of March.

  • New courses have been introduced to the Dayforce Live Learning Tracks:
    • Setting Up and Using Vacation Bidding (Video) – This is a 1-hour video course. This course helps you successfully configure and use Vacation Bidding.
    • Introduction to CeridianTax.com (U.S.) (Instructor-led Virtual) – This is a 1-hour Instructor-led Virtual course delivered each Thursday by the Ceridian Tax team. This course reviews the tools and reports available through CeridianTax.com and is applicable to customers in the United States.
  • The content for the following courses has changed:
    • Setting Up Engagement Surveys (Video) – The content of this course has been updated to reflect the latest release.
    • Setting Up Performance (Video) – The content of this course has been updated to reflect the latest release.
    • Setting Up Onboarding (Video) – The content of this course has been updated to reflect the latest release.
    • Setting Up Recruiting (Video) – The content of this course has been updated to reflect the latest release.
    • Processing Pay using ConnectedPay (MyPath) – This course has been updated to HTML.
    • Using Advanced Workflow Techniques in Self-Service (Video) – This course is now available as a 1.5 hour recorded video.  It is also delivered through instructor-led virtual training.
    • Using WebEx to Participate in Virtual Training (Video) – This video course has been updated with new content for joining WebEx computer audio or dialing into the session, and tips for a successful session.

Professional Series training opportunities

Would you like to become a Dayforce Pro? Enroll into the Professional Series Program for WFM, Payroll and Benefits, included in your Live membership. Complete your Level 1 and Level 2 training courses, ace your self-assessment quizzes, receive rewards and earn and maintain your Professional Title and Certification. 

Registering is easy. For Dayforce Users with Live Training Memberships, you can locate the Dayforce Professional Series Enrollment Form in the Resources/Toolkit that is found on the Education site’s landing page (bottom left) https://education.ceridian.com. Or, contact us at [email protected] if you do not have a training license and would like to learn more on getting one activated.


Release 60 preparation

Dayforce Release 60 is now available with client upgrades beginning April 15, 2021. We recommend you share the release information and upcoming dates to departments within your organization for awareness and planning – Dayforce 60 Upgrade – How to Prepare for Dayforce 60.


Release 2021 schedule v60/61

*Upgrades are typically scheduled weekly on Thursday.

For further details on features included in the upcoming 60 and 61 releases, please keep an eye out for the ‘Coming Soon’ communications.


Reminder: End of Silverlight/IE Support

We are pleased to announce the final date for Silverlight feature removal from the Dayforce application will be Thursday, April 8, 2021. Also, on this date, the Internet Explorer browser will no longer be supported.

We’ve scheduled a single event on Thursday, April 8, 2021, Release 59 SP 4, Hotfix 14, which will migrate all clients on Release 59 from Silverlight features to the HTML equivalent. Then, Silverlight features will be disabled.

The Silverlight features will be removed from the feature tree with no ability to reinstate them. All Silverlight features will be permanently removed from the Dayforce application with Release 60, scheduled Spring of 2021.
